Where it began
Started by a mom at bedtime
Every night, Charlie’s mom read to him. Three books minimum. Five if he asked for more. By the time he turned five, the books had taken over the house.
She dreamed of a better way: books chosen with care, kept as long as they were loved, and sent on when the next adventure was calling, while the few he couldn’t let go of stayed on his forever shelf. She couldn’t find it, so she built it.
Charlie had one request: every child should have a bear of their own.

Are the books new?
Every book begins as a brand-new book bought by Charlie’s Bookshelf. Over time, books are shared among member families, who treat them with care.
What if it’s not for us?
Cancel from your account whenever you like. After you cancel, you have 14 days to return your books, keep them with StoryCredits, or buy them. Books not returned or bought within 14 days may be charged at replacement value.
